Not mood management — the architecture of readiness. A team member cannot give what their internal state does not permit. State is the foundation everything else rests on. It is the first thing a guest reads and the last thing most operations think to design.

The conditions around the person — physical, cultural, relational.

The same quality of attention given to a Baccarat crystal glass or Carrara marble floor — applied to the human being standing beside it for eight hours. If the environment asks for excellence but creates depletion, no training will hold.

The operating beliefs that determine behaviour when no standard is specified.

Values are not written on walls. They are demonstrated in how mistakes are handled, how people are recognised, and what the culture tolerates. The team reads this before any training has time to land.

Actions

The designed touchpoints that make the system visible.

The rituals, the transitions, the standards of engagement that make care tangible for the guest and meaningful for the person delivering it. Actions are where the internal conditions become an external experience.
